The Word
Hi! Thanks for checking in.
Tiny House is a Durham, NC, band famous for leaving stock photos on their site and experimenting with AI to see what our original songs might sound like if someone else (who may or may not be sentient) covered them.
But there are changes afoot...

What Makes a Tiny House?
<-- That's not us, but it's how we feel!
Some have said we're kind of acoustic-driven, warm, optimistic, and inviting. Our well-crafted songs have rich vocal harmonies, strong hooks that carry an authentic feel, and storytelling lyrics rooted in our shared experiences.
Maybe they're right.
Our influences stem from an NC Piedmont region that brings with it a deep historical musical legacy:
- Nina Simone
- Randy Travis
- Flat Duo Jets
- George Clinton
- James Taylor
As well as a modern redefinition of genre:
- Rhiannon Giddens
- J. Cole
- Hiss Golden Messenger
- 9th Wonder
- Avett Brothers
- Sylvan Esso
We bring our own pop spin and style along with a timeless quality that draws from country, folk, rock and blues.
We've been busy
Experience the Changing Tiny House
Since The Ordinary released in early 2020 (yup... COVID, but on all your streaming places like: Spotify) we've been creating new music.
Hopefully we'll have tangible updates on where the new sound is heading in early '26
But there's more!
Still...not us.
